Добавлен 19 дек 2020
Original MLB Broadcast out of my own archives most of which were recorded & edited myself as they aired or through VCR timers In the mid 80s to the mid 2000's and also large amount of games collected through the years through VHS and DVD trades
These are all Original Broadcasts on this channel no Classic Sports or Cable Rewinds. All games have been restored and digitized, and some color corrections and cleaned-up audio tracks layed down in post production through MacroSystem straight off pre recorded or original VHS or Beta Tapes or DVD masters..
This is an ERA of Baseball that has been lost and the game hasn't been the same since the early 2000s and thats when I stopped recording, being a fan most of my original game Broadcast are from the NY Mets and probably haven't been seen since they aired most of these games were recorded & edited live of key games or just random games or games attended.
For more original MLB (& NHL) broadcast games check my more personal Phenia Film channel

Loved Billy Buck my favorite Cub!!! RIP Sir!!!
1968 Year of the Pitcher stats are mind-boggling - 37 pitchers with 10 complete games or more (Marichal, McLain, Gibson had 30, 28, 28 CG's), McLain 31 wins, Gibson 13 shutouts (another 19 had 5 or more SHO's, Cardinals had 30 SHO's as a team), Gibson's 1.12 EAR (next lowest by starter in modern era Justin Verlander with 1.75 in 2022 which is magnificent given changes in MLB rules), 4 pitchers over 300 innings pitched, 52 others over 200 innings pitched, Mike McCormick & Ray Washburn back-to-back no-hitters, Don Drysdale 58 scoreless inning streak
I remember watching the last few innings of this game on TV. I saw Desi Arnaz banging on the wall next to his seat in the front row. What a treat to see this film. Thanks.
Remember that Spring Training well as a Long Beach native. Games were played at Blair Field right across from Wilson HS where I started that Fall. Only got to one spring training game there as the Cubs played the Angels. Also recall a promo run by our local then McDonald's, located on E. Anaheim St. close to Park Road. My mom took us over there for a promo. Following lunch my brother got autographs of journeyman catcher, Chris Krug, plus the famous Ernie Banks.
A couple of big mis-steps for the Tigers, right away. Works on the head. Kind of hard to recover. Only human.
I miss these jerseys
Thank You for your channel
appreciate that Pheomn 👌
gary gentry was a awesome rookie in 69
I forgot that Rex Barney did the announcements at Camden Yards for several years before he died in 1997. His voice was the sound of Memorial Stadium. Can't forget how he would enunciation each name along with his trademark "your attention please", "give that fan a contract", and of course "thank youuu". His voice used to be as much a part of summer in Baltimore as crab cakes and getting stuck in Ocean City traffic.
What a rag tag team of retreads..with some fresh blood which would go on to the 85 & 86 seasons. Jesse Orosco, Wally Backman and of course, Straw.
It was electric in Atlanta in 1991 down the homestretch at the Braves games
C*H*I*L*L*S on M. Fawcett’s work singing the national anthem!!
05:59…McGriff had a violently sweet swing
Harry Caray was announcing in the 70’s so there’s your exception.
Lots of White ox games from around this time, which is cool, since I'm a Sox fan. They weren't very good those years, but any time we get to see Comiskey Park it's worth watching the game.
I was born in the Bronx in 1960! I was born a Yankees fan. I was still a Yankees fan after moving to Cincinnati Ohio in 1965. My Uncle George Fisher owned the Staten Island Dry Cleaners in the Bronx, he did both the Yankees and the Mets Uniforms. By 1968, me and my Dad were Cincinnati Reds fans, listening to Joe Nuxul and Gues who? * Al Michaels and we were going to Games at Crosley Field with tickets in the first row along the first base side! My Dad's friend was a Bigg Manager who had season tickets and his two sons who are both Doctors now, let me and my Dad and Brothers go once in a while! I went to a World Series game at Riverfront Stadium in 1975 vs Boston Red Sox. All of my Uncles, Aunts and Cousins are Yankees and Mets Fans. Ironically Don Gullet is a Cousin of one of my Friends. Another friend of mine said that Babe Ruth is a Relative and he played Baseball where Pete Rose grew up in Western Hills, the Mustangs! Johnny Bench had a couple of Nephews that played knothole Baseball with my two younger brothers growing up. I used to catch for the pitcher (Jeff Bench) and Pitch to the Catcher (Tony Bench). I met a Gentleman in Boca Raton Florida, an Author who's Uncle is Shea, Shea Stadium! I used to hang out in Queens with my Aunt near Flushing Meadows and off of Queens Blvd with my Uncle. We went to a free Concert in Central Park on the weekends in 2010. I noticed that all of my friends and relatives have memorabilia and framed photos of the Great Yankees, but right there next to all of em are photos of Pete Rose and Johnny Bench. I used to have a baseball signed Yankees Baseball with both Joe DiMaggio and Mickey Mantle on it. I gave it to my Uncle. It was a 1951, the only year they played together (Mantle's Rookie Year!)
10:22 - OMG!!! The same song played when I was 8 years old. Pat Zachry was pitching on "Family day." Before the game, the players were allowed to bring their kids on the field.
Outfield Wall of this stadium 🏟️ still exist ( Fulton ), outside the site of the other Old Stadium 🏟️ Former Tuner Field, which belongs to a Atlanta college. Atlanta Braves are now north of Atlanta at “ Truist Park “ 🥃🔥
The Astros had one hell of a lineup
Great upload thx! I watched the whole thing. Took me back to being 8 years old that season & when I fell in love w the Stros.
Ray Boone the catcher. Son is Bob Boone. Two nephews are Brett Boone and Aaron Boone.
Braves started off slow that year.
Being able to see games from other cities, with local commercials is epic. I've loved baseball since I was a little kid back in 1973. I remember Milwaukee County Stadium during the 70's. Those were some of the BEST TIMES, and BEST MEMORIES I ever had!! I remember these teams so well. This will be a treat to watch. Thank you again!
Does any full game video of the 1970 all star game exist? Was wondering, it's not on RUclips but there may be some info I'm not aware of...
just the MLB film if there is one
It was nice to see one of these old games with a behind centerfield camera view. For some reason, alot of games back then, were shown from the above catcher camera angle.
Born this night Tysm for having this!
I remember this game. I believe it was on a Saturday and I also recall Holtzman getting a double. The irony is that it was the first year of the DH and he had not had an at bat, yet, his first time up he gets a double!
Frank Cashen 2:43
I had no idea that Kenny Lofton played for the Astros. I thought he came up through the Indians organization.
I can't believe it's been nearly 20 years!⚾🇺🇸
61 twins biches servin up a gross hot dish
More 1983 games please thank you good times
'The magic is back.' Well, in six years.
Astros shouldn't be wearing white
I miss Skip and Don.
!!!! Wow!!!!! Thanks for sharing!!!!
The Chicago cubs we're in Atlanta for this series 🙂
Thanks for uploading this!
Forgot about the relatively funky "Kiner's Korner" open at 1:57:21 - always think of the polka-ish march
52:45 this must be the first-ever playing of “Sweet Caroline” at a nationally-televised sporting event. Moments later Clemente homers.
BOBBY BO !
April 26, 1981 doubleheader vs. Angles was my last baseball trip to the Met. Drank beer in the sun in left field upper deck. Carew had four hits, including a pair of doubles in the second game. I saw the Vikings in a fall preseason game later that year. Stayed at the HoJo across the parking lot.
Oh I'm sure the rest of this footage exists somewhere . You can find bits and pieces here and there and reconstruct the last four innings
great when you do find the remaining innings and reconstruct the last four innings like you say be sure to let us know 👌 great news
@@pheniafilmsthemlbarchiveso9229 Dave volsky does all kind of sports videos. He would be the person to contact
I’m good thanks
It's so much fun to watch older games. Look at how they handled the beaning attempt. 2:02:24 Even this was better. The pitcher throws behind the batter one pitch after back to back homers and gets tossed. The manager does not get thrown out, but he gets to go out there and yell a bunch, backing his pitcher. The umpire has his say. Everybody says what they want and the game goes on peacefully from there on out. I don't know. I just really enjoy watching these games more than anything happening today.
Wow, this was exactly one month before Elvis died.
Coliseum Left field was 250 feet to the 40 foot high fence..
Ray Scott announcing, what a treat!
Barry Bonds steroid king 😅.
I've watched this a few times, and the part that always gets me is the standing ovation for Campy. To once again hear an applause from really what were and still really are the descendants of Brooklyn Dodgers fans must have been something special.
Diyle Alexander was a great ground ball pitcher
